Anyone been watching the new Freeview channel, Dave?

http://www.dave-tv.co.uk

QI, Buzzcocks, Alan Partridge, Whose Line...?, Top Gear, and a programme presented by Henry Rollins!

What else could you need?

I haven't watched it (although the line up looks quite good if only for QI), but the name did amuse me. I think they should have another channel called Bruce. And then rename all channels to Bruce to save on confusion :)

Tha name makes me laugh.

Years ago we took part in a large 5 a side football tournament in Reading. Our name the first year was 'Dave'. Simply for this stupid joke...

The ref before each game comes over to say who are you (meaning the team), we would then say Dave. He would then go on saying 'no no your team name, whats your name?', the Dave responses were amusing (hey we were young).

The most stupid team name was a year later when we were called 'Err ?'. So obviously when the ref asked us who we were we would say 'Err ?'.

Probably one of those 'you had to be there moments', ahem ;)

I am Top Geared out after watching Dave on Sunday.

Stupid name for a TV channel, but I suppose its got people talking about it. My Freeview box still says its something else though.

Just realised I have Sky 3 last night. Watched 101 Objects Removed From The Human Body. It was pretty gross.

At last, UK Whose Line Is It Anyway? on Freeview. I find the US version unwatchable.

UK History back rather than a poor BBC3 clone with ads?

There's good stuff on there but nothing that isn't on other channels whereas UK History was unique on FV.

Yeah, I can't believe it only runs from 6am to 6pm now (unless EPG is lying to me, and it doesn't run at all - I haven't been at home during the day to check).

Freeview is for cheapskates. And it's utter crap.

Get satellite or cable, tightwads.

No cable companies service my building, and I'm not allowed a satellite dish because the building is listed.

Freeview only I'm afraid.
