It's fairly standard practice to have a "launch" editor (which is usually Steve Jarratt ;) ) and then hand over the reins... A lot of mags have a "managing editor" (responsible for strategy and day-to-day running) and a "features/content editor" (who does the actual editing)

I'm looking forward to getting my first subscripted issue (sorry, my English is not that good, isn't it? ).

Just stumbled upon issue #22 by accident at a book shop near the train station. And because they normally don't have the RETRO GAMER (don't understand why, do you? ), I subscribed (and ordered the missing back issues #19-21  ).

I hope it will arrive in a mint and flawless condition

It's not bad.

You have invented a new word there though but "subscripted" is so good I think everyone should use it.

Show off :P

I'm quite looking forward to the next issue, hopefully it's here tomorrow morning, so I can casually slip in to the warehouse at 'the day job' and have a good old read.

...from my local newsagents as well!

Times aren't getting tough are they Darran, I saw the same Rainbow Islands advert twice and a (new) subscription offer of six issues for £15 on a rolling direct debit.

Good mag as always but now its time to have a proper read :D

Oh, let me know if you want that scan removed from my webspace. Don't want to flout copyright laws!

TImes are far from tough mate ;)
I think you'll find that the other advert should have been Snowboards Kids and the new sub price is to tie in with many of the old highbury mags (games TM for example have always offered they same deal ;) )

Trouble with me, I always look at the other side of the coin after I've posted! With this sort of subscription deal, its very tempting for me to subscribe, just don't want the naughty postman damaging the magazine upon delivery.

Oh, looks like we are nearly at the end of the green spine. Any news on the new colour or will it be a new approach. I.E. a character instead of the magazine name?

Woo! I finally have a cover feature. :D

I love how the asterisk has been replaced with the Super Famicom logo. Very nice touch there.
