Yeah, I had to to do a lot of moving around in my room to fit it in perfectly, but it was well worth it. No doubt the best Xbox game that 99% of Xbox owners never played.gmintyfresh wrote:Gamestation in Leeds used to have one of those controllers in the window, man they're huge!!ShadowMan wrote:What a rip off! my wallet still hurts from my 98p copy of Steel Battalion Line of Contact! What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I seem to remember playing this game at one of the fairground in the mid 90s. A very good scrolling beat em' up that didn't got any home conversion at all.ShadowMan wrote:Just missed out on a copy of Ikaruga but did manage to get me this:
A PCB of Violent Storm by Konami that set me back £50 (which I though was a good price.)
for anyone that hasn't played it, imaging what Final Fight would have been like if Konami made it instead of Capcom and you got this game, fantastic music as well (like X-men and Turtles)
Yeah, quite unfortunate as its such a blast to play, with some terrible/funny dialog to go with it!thl wrote:I seem to remember playing this game at one of the fairground in the mid 90s. Reminds me also a bit like the punisher as there is so much to smash up and use as a weapon. Though having played Punisher all yesterday night I'm inclined to say that!

Conan for the Xbox 360. Price - £39.99
However even though it was expensive I love it. It's like the good old days of side scrolling beat 'em ups all over again, only with forwards and backwards scrolling as well. Button-mashy goodness + silly plotting, big bosses and ridiculous odds = good time had by all (well, me at least). Still not as good as Final Fight, or even Captain Commando, it must be admitted.
Also this week:
Sega Megadrive Collection - PSP
Capcom Classics Remixed - Also PSP
EA Classics Collection - You can see where this is going, right?

Thanks for the impressions. I've seen Conan on sale this week (Didn't realise it was due so soon!) and its good to hear another opinion on what it plays like. I'll get it when it drops into the £20 price range.jimbo_too wrote:Conan for the Xbox 360. Price - £39.99![]()

I have managed to snag a copy of "Whats Shenmue" for my Shenmue collection for the bargain price of £10, it was a cool way of previewing the potential of Shenmue before release, though the plot of the demo is to chase down the former president of Sega which has little to do with the plot of Shenmue!

Bought 3 games on ebay yesterday:
Castlevania 3 Dracula's Curse (about 11£ - 17€)
Bart vs. The Space Mutants (about 2£- 3€)
Battle of Olympus (about 1.25£- 2€)
All 3 are boxed, no booklet except for Bart.
That's quite a bargain I think... even Castlevania 3, there was another ad, ending only tomorrow that has already reached about 30£... I was lucky because this ad had a spelling mistake (Castelvania), so I guess fewer people saw it...
And my bro just won the bid on a huge lot: 4 NES, 3 Zappers, 4 controllers, 1 NES Advantage joystick and 21 games, for 70£. Everything should be in working order... I guess I'll have to start selling on ebay...
