Post by yethboth » Tue Oct 09, 2007 12:08 pm

Any ideas? I think there should be snow on the Retro Gamer logo. :)

I've made this perfectly clear in the past.
Unless we have a brand new Oliver Frey cover then we're unlikely to run with one of his old ones.

Have you asked him to do a new one?

Do what c&vg did and get their spazzy readers to send in their deranged scrawlings in for you to print..the worst picture of Lara Croft with a santa hat on could be the cover.

How about a picture of the 3 wise men giving baby Jebus gifts of a C64, a ZX and a CPC?
(The CPC obviously being myrrh  )

Highly unlikely. The publishing world is nothing like it was in the 1980s, and overseas sales would tank if the Retro Gamer cover for the December issue suddenly looked all Christmassy.

What about a multi-cultural winter cover depicting Buddha, Jesus and Allah skiing or lobbing snowballs at Santa?.

Obviously it would be in disasterously bad taste but it might get you featured in the Daily Mail and on Sky News, boosting sales by a factor of 10....if it works for Rockstar it should work for RG.

Perhaps not though.
