What's your favourite retro Batman game?

The best one was the Megadrive one by Sunsoft - I'm not sure if one of the options is that one?

It had brill atmosphere and the BEST music too

Also, how about the amazing PC Engine Batman that was like a scrolling pacman, also by Sunsoft..

I voted Batman 16 bit on the basis it was the Sunsoft game for the Megadrive. Still a game I like playing.

I remember when the batdance demo first came out on the ST. I cant believe I justed to get excited about demo's like that.

Batman Returns for me, both the Snes version which I played sooooooo much, and the Mega CD version which I 1st played last year.

Both are excellent game imo.

I do like Batman the Movie too, on the C64 and Amiga, but my crap skills let me down and I rarely make it out of the Axxis chemical factory. I hadn't played either of these until earlier this year either.

I notice that Batman Begins hasn't been given an option though. I have to say I quite like this one too on XBox.

Incidentally the last I heard was that they were making Lego Indiana Jones, not Lego Batman now.

I didn't include Batman Begins as it's not 'retro' enough yet.

Don't worry about Lego Batman, it IS being released later this year (multi-format). Lego Indy will follow next year to coincide with the Indy IV movie ...

The only one I ever got to play was one for the Amiga (Batman the Movie I think) and I wasn't awfully impressed at the time, although since I was bored I did spend a good few hours on it. It wins by default though.

I'm going with the unpopular choice of Batman: The Caped Crusader. I just loved the comic book feel, eventhough the way Batman moved was a bit "wooden". I remember making it to the end of the Joker level, & there was Robin tied to the roller coaster, but I didn't know what to do from there. This was a good 15 odd years ago now, dunno if I could get that far again. I remember the Joker stage being VERY hard!!

I'd love to see a remake of this game. As for Lego Batman... I LOVED Lego Star Wars, so bring it on!!

EDIT: Oh, & I remember the Amstrad version had music on the title screen that sounded more like the Spiderman theme than the Batman theme... at the start of it anyway...
