And the Sega GT/JSRF disc wasn't a launch disc. It came bundled with consoles later on (1+ year after launch if I remember correct).

I was a fan of the original and the gameplay in the new version is along the same lines with the level-ups providing a frisson to the action. The game was never meant to be the next Civilisation, just an enjoyable arcade game that you can pick up and play any time you want.
