Xbox 360 - '3 red lights'.
It would appear Microsoft are trying to do something about the problem and warranties.

Got the right result, didn't it?paranoid marvin wrote:They've probably had some savvy customers threatening court action if they don't repair their 12 month+ old consoles , so they've decided to play the PR card before they're forced to

This is a good thing anyways, last thing I needed was to get the 3 reds on my 360 this time next year.

So, as I've posted elsewhere, this is all very fab but what about those of us who paid for extended warranties and now find everyone else gets them for free?

Exactly, which is why I am considering cancelling my warranty with Currys. The best thing about it is I may cancel anytime as it is paid monthly for as long as I want. I would hit my head on the table very hard though if I did cancel the warranty, got the 3RL in 3 years time & a day after the 3 year warranty runs out.
My mate is now on his 4th Xbox 360 in 16 months or so, he has a 5yr warrenty lucky guy but he has relegated his box to the children now and bought a PS3, he said its better than the 360 already as his first one has lasted more than 7 days lol.
I on the other hand have a lovely 360 that is 6 months old and never gives me any trouble (except for random crashes on oblivion all the time grr)
other than that its ace.
but....
I am still in love with my wii, its my little favourite I think such a fun little console.
yay for nintendo
actually no - boo , wii need more games

The 65nm thing is entirely a rumour created by the internet.
And almost certainly would do little to nothing to solve the problem anyway.
