Some Spectrum Opinions Needed...
I have a few Speccy games that I know are tops. But, I'm woefully ignorant of what the best games for the system are. So I was hoping some of you might help?
Thanks in advance.

Try...
Target Renegade
R-Type
Flying Shark
Head Over Heels
Anything by Ultimate (Sabre Wulf, Jetpac, Pssst etc)
Match Day 2
Hyper Sports
Any of the Dizzy games (and most of the Codemasters stuff)
Rainbow Islands (128k)
Robocop (128k)
To name a few. Any particular genre you are interested in?

First, thanks to both of you for the quick responses. One game of Attic Attack was enough to convince me I needed to try more cool Spectrum games. So, having some knowledgable gamers point me in the right direction is a plus.
As for genre, nah, I'll play any game as long as its fun and enjoyable.

Dictator - a simple , but highly enjoyable Dictator sim
Adventures of Adrian Mole - an entertaining , multiple choice graphic adventure
Yes Prime Minister - If you liked the tv series , you'll absolutely ADORE this game!
R Type - truly amazing , and shows what was capable on a 48k Speccy

Deactivators.
I'll leave that one to stand on its own as I don't want to detract from it.
It'll be easier if you read the inlay. Its very simple, but very hard.

A fantastic game. The dialogue is very well written and is really fun to play despite looking like it would bore the hell out of you. It was just as fun to play badly and see your career go down the pan.paranoid marvin wrote:Yes Prime Minister - If you liked the tv series , you'll absolutely ADORE this game!
I don't think i have a copy, anyone got a spare one to sell or trade?

Absolutely. An incredable feat of programming with virtually no slow down. It's a shame it won't all load on a 128k, that would've been sweet.paranoid marvin wrote:Oh ,m and I agree with Stuart that I still to this day wonder how on earth it was possible to program R-Type for the Speccy - I mean , it's almost unblievable how smooth and sexy the graphics are in that game , expecially level 3
