It's been a (very) long time coming, but the community got there in the end and finally saw him for what he was. Been very interesting to follow his downfall recently though.

I've done a search for Magnificent Seven and have come up with loads of posts about compilations with that name. I assume it has some other meaning? And is TheLaird involved?

Nah, it was just because I had a picture of The Magnificent 7 in my sig. I've temporarily removed it because it was taking up a big chunk of the screen every time I posted (it looked smaller on my phone  ), I only noticed when I checked it on my PC.

In this context it refers to seven members who went to another retro forum. The Laird was not one of them.

Long story short, there was some...drama a long while back (10 years now) involving myself and 6 other people (who were also members of another forum), and a user on here we perceived as deliberately trying to disrupt this forum. Things got heated and trolly, and we were all banned for a while, and it became a running gag afterwards that we were 'The Magnificent 7'. I've had a reference to it in my sig ever since as a joke. When I started posted on here again a few days back I put a new Magnificent 7 picture in my sig but it turned out to be huge and took half the screen up, so I've temporarily gotten rid of it until I resize it, that's probably the only reason it's been mentioned again.

Absolutely nothing whatsover to do with what happened with The Laird though, or the game compilation of the same name. Although the compilation was awesome.

He's deep in something that begins with 's' and it isn't a spotlight.

This is everyone's business. People not knowing, giving him a pass and/or sticking up for him are what has let him get away with campaigns of manipulation, hate and abuse for over a decade. He isn't the mostly harmless buffoon most of us thought.

That link may have been removed, but there are many mirrors now.
