Hmmm. Saw Parasite. Normally oscar winners mean in my language avoid the film like the plague.
It was alright, think over hyped, think i expected more due to all the praise. Its a watch once and never again film
I'd think that it's a case of the award going to someone on the merits of their previous films in that there's nothing Parasite does that Snowpiercer and Okja didn't do just as well, other than throw in a ton of cultural references that'll just whoosh over the head of a non-Korean audience, and maybe give it a bit more arthouse cred.
Ah well, better than it going to some Hollywood Oscar-bait, at any rate.

Excellent, I look forward to seeing this... heading towards 49, going to see a sonic movie in the cinema alone. If only my kids were a bit older LOL (actually no, I wish I could pause them at this age!).

Swamp thing
Finally unwrapped my super duper special edition Blu Ray as I noticed it had a DVD included so I could play it on the bedside TV.
I used to love the old TV series as a Kid but this was a bit crap tbh, the whole relationship thing didnt make sense (unless theres something I missed) and the Costumes for Swamp thing and the eventual transformation of the villain looked pretty much vintage Dr Who grade, not sure if this was intentional or not.
I'll still watch the all singing all dancing version on the Blu Ray at some point and maybe get the poster up as it matches my 50's stuff but notsure on this one.

Dolittle
Great fun and a clever way of re-inventing the character. But the worst accent since censored van Dyke tried to play a Cockney. It looks like many of Robert Downey Jr's lines were re-recorded or overdubbed because his Welsh accent is awful...

That bugs me with a lot of things, actors may genuinely be great but they really can't do accents other than their own naitive one without it sounding over the top or very broken, not always the case though, I wouldn't have known Hugh Jackman was Australian if I hadn't seen an interview with him speaking normally.

Finally got around to watching Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Excellent film, I enjoyed it much more than the last couple of live action ones I watched. Think they possibly went a bit overboard with the anime style design for Peni Parker though

Sig pic temporarily removed...The Magnificent 7 will ride again
