More "Switch Pro" rumours are doing the rounds:

Sounds more plausible than some of the others, in that making a meaningful stab at 4K gaming isn't really on with the technology available. Not sure that a machine that just does gives more reliable 720/1080p gaming is going to be seen as enough of an upgrade though.

4K would surly drain the battery even further? I know newer models have better battery, but 4K would surly kill it. And good luck streaming anything 4K on it too.

I think that'll be saved for Switch 2 or whatever Nintendo does after Switch.

Nintendo have stated in their shareholder briefing there will be no new Switch models this year. Perhaps that's what they have to say so as not to slump sales of the current models but maybe there will be a minor internal revision again as we saw with the improved the battery last year.

There is however an Animal Crossing themed Switch coming out along side the game.

If the rumours are true, it wouldn't be coming this year anyway. Nvidia basically have to design a new chip.

So far as 4K goes, the Switch could technically output it with very little modification. It just wouldn't be much use beyond basic media apps when it can't even render the more demanding games at 720p. Shoring up that performance is, IMO, the way to go.

So more power and 4K in the Pro+ then. You heard it here first.

No, in fact they specifically said there will not be new Switch hardware in 2020.

Unless you're thinking of the Animal Crossing one, which is just an existing Switch with different branding.

I won't say that it doesn't look good though.

Are the Ages games only available via digital distribution? I've never seen any of them in stores, nor on Ebay. Phantasy Star be one I'd want to get.
