Modern consoles are just PCs with fancy front ends anyway so it seems natural that they start looking like a PC.

Ill wait till some "Exclusives of note" before wanting
To put that into perspective the Xbox one is currently lower than the Magnafox odyssey in that respect (Most games are also on PC)

The design looks okay but it will be really inconvenient to find a place for. It's not going to fit on a shelf in a TV cabinet.

I'm thinking practialities of that with my current set up - struggle to get my echo anywhere sensible!

Why not? It isn't a huge box, it's only the size of 2 or 3 joypads. Smaller footprint than something like a PS3 or 360, it isn't something on the scale of a PC tower though that may be the obvious comparison. I expect it can be laid on its side and the image shown is just one orientation, same as with the Wii.

It might just about fit in my unit on its side, but it'd be a tight fit. Each shelf ony has about 15 - 17cm clearance depending on how you space them.
I had the same problem with the Gamecube - nice design but it didn't fit in my set up very easily - the top loading design made it even worse.

They have confirmed you can place it on its side. Since it does seem to be about as wide as a controller, I'd say you'd have a decent thing to measure if you have space.

I thought most people viewed their Pornhub vids on TV via console? Not just for the obvious stuff like PSVR....

It's got a very alien monolith from 2001 vibe about it.

Doesn't look a million miles away from my current subwoofer either.

Other than the size and shape of it, it's pretty much what I expected. I doubt I'll get one but it's only the gameplay experience and reliability that could possibly tempt me.

Pretty much looks like a bog standard electronics project box with an X stamped on it!
Could be anything, which may be the aesthetic they are going for.
