I see you're a Stevenage lad. I used to live there, but moved away in the last 10 years to North Wales. Loved the Old Town for a spot of drinking back then.

Re: What grinds your gears ?
The guy who site 2 bays behind me at work really annoys me. He's the type of person who always has an opinion about something and your opinion of it is wrong. He's also very pedantic!
Ive never spoken to him personally, but I hear him every day banging on about something.
Today it was the pic of the black hole thats been in the paper.
According to him, it's not a picture of a black hole because it doenst reflect light, so its a picture of nothing with the light around it. He compared it to taking a pic of a wheel of a car and calling it a car

Re: What grinds your gears ?
Im betting that the failure of PS VR is indeed due to the lack of move controllers etc available. CEX sell 2nd hand ones for 40 quid, just for one. i know you can use the pad with some games, but its not the same.
Re: What grinds your gears ?
I wouldn't say PS VR has failed, i thought it has sold pretty well?
I received a text from Argos yesterday saying the move controllers are back in stock so I have reserved a pair, picking up Monday.

Born and raised some might say sadly, Red Lions where I go at the moment but I rarely drink out.thedustyjoypad wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2019 11:07 amI see you're a Stevenage lad. Todays grind, Lurchers.
Pest knows I can't chase him so has been refusing to do as he's told, he's currently asleep so considering getting my own back by letting off one of my violent med farts in his general direction.

The Red Lion was my haunt too. Went there for many years before I moved away. Think it's changed a fair bit since I last went. Will probably be visiting again in the summer, so will check it out thenSega2006 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 4:57 amBorn and raised some might say sadly, Red Lions where I go at the moment but I rarely drink out.thedustyjoypad wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2019 11:07 amI see you're a Stevenage lad. Ha, sounds like he's in for a treat

My current gear grind is that I am at work and my parents are coming up to visit, so would much rather be at home chilling and maybe having a sneaky game before they arrive.

My car. Found some of my lights weren't working, changed the bulbs, some are now working, but some still aren't, the smaller headlight, a rear light and both rear number plate lights, all replaced but still not working.
Maybe a fuse problem?

Could be fuse, could be bad earths or even just crudded connectors, start with the fuse and work from there.

Cheers, i'll try to have a look at the fuses this weekend. Not sure what I'm looking for regarding the rest you suggested.

Locations vary on cars I'm afraid so you'd need to look it up for you car specifically, youtube can be quite handy for tutorials though unless its a really obscure model.pratty wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 9:44 amCheers, i'll try to have a look at the fuses this weekend. Robert peston grinds my gears.Get off my tv with your annoying voice and manner before I send davros and the boys around to sort you out.

Re: What grinds your gears ?
Rude people, modern car led lights that appear to be way too bright, drivers who don't signal, racists. Pretty much much all still grinding same as ever.
Thoughts and prayers.

This.
It sometimes feels like everybody is driving about with main beam on. Surely - being LEDs - this is bad for your eyes...
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.
Re: What grinds your gears ?
I don't know why they don't just apply a filter tbh, cars have been getting 'fly-eyes' for years so its perfectly possibly to do it and still have a safely functioning beam.
I've got Bi-Xenons and they are bright but just enough to not blind while dipped

Speaking of cars, buying car insurance is a painful experience, at least for me. The jargon, the endless Ts & Cs, the threat of giving false information leading to you being tarred and feathered, makes it all very head battering.
