Yeah we definitely got further together than we would have separately.

REsi 2. It's good stuff - controls well, smooth, looks good, and the Police Station itself is one of the most cohesive and impressive environments I've ever explored in a video game. I'm probably in a small minority that would have preferred a remake more along the lines of the GC version of the original, but this is still pretty great.
Re: What are you currently playing?
I've just got to this game, only a few hours in but have to say am really enjoying it! Wonderfully stylist, Platinum Games definitely seem to have some really talented artists working for them.
Music is really good as well actually!
Re: What are you currently playing?
The combat is great too, it seems complex at times but its not too bad once you the hang of things, plus you can also button mash and still look cool.
I need to get back to it after I finish Link's Awakening, I should get a good Zelda session in today.

Astral Chain is good, but I don't think it's on quite the same level as Nier or Bayonetta, and such comparisons are inevitably going to be made. Still, maybe I should reserve judgement until I've completed it. It's always been the Platinum way that you can mash your way though, but the true fun comes with hitting the combos.

Man Of Medan (PS4): Not a bad little game, and it only cost me £20, so the short length is more than acceptable.
Space Hulk Tactics (PC): Hard. But fun.

I'm still playing Farm Sim and Mudrunner but I've switched from Xbox to PC so am enjoying all the fan made mods that I didn't have access to earlier.

Was sorting through which games to keep and get shot of and couldn't remember much about Anarchy Reigns (PS3) so I decided to play it again before I decided its fate. Game is shallow, repetitive and far too short but also great fun. It has that usual style over substance thing that (for me) defines a lot of Platinum's games but it does enough to paper over the wafer-thin content. So I'll probably keep it after all! Really enjoying it.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Re: What are you currently playing?
Picked up Vektor Wars for 0.97 and found a surprisingly decent TRON-themed arena shooter. Really good fun, especially at the price, highly recommended. Also Ghouls n Ghosts on MD Mini.... at least I'm trying to play it.... I was never great at it, 4th level was my best back in the day, but goddamn, I'm struggling to move off of the second at the moment.

Goldeneye 007 ONLINE, on the Wii!
Was mindblown to discover this was still up and running 9 years later, not many players but I did get quite a few rounds of 8 player team deathmatches.
