Yeah i'm off to see that next week with a bunch of 8 year olds. Love the cinema but watching kids stuff i'm terrible at, cant even go on my phone ! Last time was Aladdin which i was bored big time with, daughter loved it so thats the main thing but arrrgh just went on and on !!
Been watching This is England on More 4 , some reason never got round to watching the actual seasons so enjoying it so far
Funny thing was there was like 4-5 kids in my screening, rest was packed with adults like me.

Dark, season 2....
still getting my head around it, no spoilers, probably the best thing I've seen on Netflix for a while and a cliff hanger ending for season 3.
Just waiting for Stranger Things 3 to air now.

Watched legend last night, the Krays film.
Was ok. Good lead performances but it could have done being a bit more gritty. Felt rushed too despite the 2 hour plus running time. But it was ok.

The Mummy with Tom Cruise. Not offensively bad but very meh and seen it all before.
Transformers: The Last Knight. A film of two halves, that outstays it's welcome. The first half isn't actually too bad but the second half caused me to lose intrest.
Mr & Mrs Smith. Seen it before but gave it a re-watch, nothing too special but still good fun. Easily miles better than the two films above.

The Dark Tower, disappointing. Heard a lot of hype about the books, but this was pretty meh.
Bad times At The El Royale. I enjoyed this Tarantino-esque thriller, it's a tad over long but the first 3 quarters were excellent.
Spiderman 2 (the new one). Really good, maybe better than the first one.

I've completely lost track of the Spider Man films.

In the last 18 years we've had 3 reboots spanning 7 films & an animated spin off & quite a few cameos in the MCU it's no wonder you're confused. I think I know Spiderman's origin story better than my own now!
Started watching the new Black Mirror series. Wonderful as always.

Just watched Shaft on Netflix (not that kind of movie to the individual sniggering at the back), found it quite funny and it definatly took care of Mr Jackson' Mother****er quota.

Just watched the more recent Mummy Film, it wasn't quite as bad as people say but I'd still take the original and Brendan Fraser series over it.

Breach, very watchable low-key spy film. Based on a true story though so it didn't have the plot turns to take it to the next level.
My Horrible Boss, very fun Korean rom-com series.
Wonder Woman. Pretty good, easily one of, if not the best recent DC movies. Does feel like a copy of Captain America: The First Avenger though.

Battle Angel Alita. Not great tbh, the writing was clumsy and some of the CGI was well ropey, especially Alita herself - she consistently looked plastic, which I'm not sure was intended.
Shazam. Pretty good family movie, raised a few laughs, but geared towards a younger audience. I liked it for what it was. One of the better DC movies.
