Retro Gamer - Issue 194

Post by psj3809 » Sat May 11, 2019 7:20 am

Just arrived. Great issue for me. History of Yie Ar Kung Fu. Article on skooldaze Evolution of cybernoid. Making of army men looks good.

Not into burnout I must admit but I’ll give that a look at later. Again immersive sims looks decent

It long to go to issue 200 ! Damn I remember issue 100 so well !

They did not need to map everything onto a single button for MSX Yie Ar Kung Fu. Standard MSX joysticks have two independent fire buttons. Someone could easily mod it to use the two buttons. Other Konami games like Gradius use two buttons with the select key as an alternative for one button sticks

Mine just arrived today. Looking forward to cracking into that Skool Daze article.

Although I would've loved to have seen a Skool Daze cover, I guess Burnout is more commercial & I really like the artwork on the subscriber version.

The letters page is good this month too.

Best issue in ages. I even like the subscriber cover!

Haven't seen this issue, and have to admit really looking forward to #200, and anticipating what will feature in the milestone issue.

Skool Daze sounds a great feature, I look forward to checking it out. Burnout too- I have never been a massive racing game fan, but love the arcade style ones, especially those with cool prangs and smashes like Burnout or Destruction Derby
