Vale Greg Stafford, Founder of Chaosium and the Call of Cthulhu role playing game died today aged 70 :(
This is the game that got me into running RPGs and allowed me to experience and create tales based on the works of my favourite author.
Greetings Mortal, Are You Ready To Die?

Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft, just died, aged 65.

He left the company in 1982, well before their most famous products came about, but he was one of the creators - alongside Bill Gates - of Microsoft BASIC which found its way into many home computers including the C64, the MSX, and an assortment of machines that used the CP/M operating system.

He kept hold of his shares, and went on to become one of the wealthiest people in the world as the company grew. Much of his career after Microsoft was devoted to philanthropic activities, including ocean conservation and fighting the spread of Ebola but he also found time and money to create the Allen Telescope Array to search for alien civilizations, and support commercial space flight with SpaceShipOne.

I don't know Luke Perry but I don't have much sympathy for Keith Flint. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that taking a drugs throughout your life is without consequence.

Surprised you dont know him. Wasnt my cup of tea but he was one of the blokes in Beverly Hills 90210, think he was in some show called 'Riverdale' recently which i've never seen. But know him as back in the early 90's that show (90210) was pretty big on Sky/TV.

Load of sh1te about Keith Flint though. Yeah he took drugs but so ? Apparently he commited suicide as his marriage was breaking up, if anything its more to do with depression rather than just taking tons of drugs. No ones said it was down to all the drugs hes taking previously unless you know different. Apparently he was sober and not taking anything. Just depression

So sympathy for people with depression who kill themselves. But if someones drank in the past or taken drugs and then commits suicide no sympathy ? As it must 'always' have been the drugs/drink which led to their decision ? Nothing else ? Crazy

That's the tragedy of it - a permanent 'solution' to an often temporary problem.

I totally get what you are saying but there is a link between drug use and mental health problems but of course there is more too it, none of us are doctors, nor do we really know the man... was just saying what I thought, that's all.

Happy pills, couldn't imagine having to live on them.
Was offered them in the past, but they make you worse before taking effect
