CRT 14" TV recommendations. Prices rising!
Last time I looked (a few years back) people were virtually giving away even Trinitron 14" TVs. Now the Sony's are going for over a £100!
Anyone know of ones of a similar quality (with RGB Scart) that aren't stupid money?

Yeah, will give Gumtree a go thanks. Amazing how many more people are now "aware" of the perceived prices of things. Much harder to grab a bargain.

Gumtree, Facebook, local Ebay sales, "junk" shops, charity shops (British heart foundations tend to still sell them, usually about twenty quid), sometimes markets
Best advice, yes try for one of those Sony ones, but look at others, got some really nice Bush ones
Remotes are not needed if they have an AV button on the front as well as a menu one, make sure it has some
If they have front composite with red and white connections (ITS LATE MY BRAIN CANT REMEMBER THE NAME FOR THEM!!) they will most likely handle anything you chuck at them
If you have room go bigger, 21" CRTs are great and not massive

Strangely, I just posted out to my friends on Facebook and someone has a 14" Sony in storage. They accepted £20 which I don't think is too bad. Cheapest price on eBay for the same model is £50 with most being over a £100 (sold listings).

The trinitrons are nice but I have a couple of Phillips CRTs which are bloody lovely, so don't forsake other brands. I even have a cheap Matsui (Dixons own brand) 14" and it's fine. I used to use it all the time for lightgun games.

Cut the ends off with a saw...

I have a Beovision Avant VCR 32 CRT TV which I’m trying to find a home for. Anyone interested?
I’d like £35 or it as I had to buy a replacement remote. It’s a bargain for the right person though.
(If you look it up online some people say it auto stretches the picture to 16:9 but you can change it back to 4:3 using the remote if you read the instructions).
