Bought a Soda Stream ! I drink Coke Zero like anything so i thought a cheaper way might be this soda stream. Pretty good so far, got some 'Coke Zero' (Or Rolla Cola) from Amazon and its not bad, bit of a different taste but i'm not that fussed by that. Just a nice cold fizzy drink.
They look fancier than the old 80's ones, no more plastic bottles either. Next up a sandwich toaster![]()

Re: Today
I miss my Mr Frosty, Mum binned it a few years back now, I've claimed the vintage Breville for my own and called him Neville.
Today I had some kits turn up although one was open and missing bits, so off to Amazon complaints I go.

Re: Today
Its busier than it was immediately following the purge of users and the retrospective change of rules that was well out of order, but it isn't what it once was. You might also want to have a look at the Retro Canteen where some of the refugees hang out.

Re: Today
You don't remember Markopoloman being unfairly banned? Shame.
Gist of it was a political discussion got a bit heated. Some people said some bad stuff that might have contravened some abuse rules, others just got caught in the backlash.
Either way, people were permabanned without discussion, and then the rules changed retrospectively to exclude political/religious discussion.
It was a horrible, nasty thing, driven from on high, with Darran's hand forced from above. It still makes me angry to thing about it.
Oh, and a few weeks ago we had a new community manager type come in by the name of Jpishgar. He's American. He hasn't done anything about resolving it. He and his team have also been strangely quiet after a flurry of posts in their first few days of joining. I think we can safely say RG isn't a priority. Pishy does know a bit about his retro games though.

Re: Today
^Totally agree, Marcopoloman should never have been banned. Changing the AUP afterwards (and still banning him before) was totally out of order. Specially when in the past hes spent tons of his free time deleting spam/sorting out reported stuff etc.
Must admit i've only just got access to retrocanteen again, theres no way i forgot my password (normally use the same one forever !) but i have a nightmare logging in with that Proboards stuff

Re: Today
Proboards is awful for that. The number of times I've had to reset my password because it uses some weird system where you have to have a Proboards account as well as you forum account and it seems to get confused between the two constantly telling you you put the wrong one in.psj3809 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 3:52 am^Totally agree, Marcopoloman should never have been banned. Re: Today
Yeah i dont get it. I'm on two pro boards forums, second i have access to one the other doesnt work. Then when i somehow reset my password for the other board to access it the other one doesnt work. Very frustrating !

Re: Today
I must have missed half of that too, I know theres not that much of the old Guard left.
Today I found out I've got 2 busted discs and a torn ligament, whats going on with the nerve isnt showing though so Docs referred me on to a specialist, still no eta on healing though so the 4 jobs I had been working are now once again none as I'd been pressured to leave which ACAS say is completely legal.
Also found out I have to source storage for my car as it can't stand in it's parking space when it's MOT runs out so it's going to be a fun week.

I feel that.
I have to have 3 major operations in the space of a month to help aliviate some serious medical conditions and it's really affecting my ability to work.
Life always seems to kick you when you're down. Chin up mate, I'm sure you'll find a way through it.
