Speedball 2: 'Icecream Icecream' ! Just brings back great memories. An excellent playable game, sliding around beating people up and using the many clever powerups made it a dream game. The difficulty level was just about right, against the top teams it was a very fast affair but enjoyable as anything.
Re: From the forum: 191
Speedball 2 for me - it's genuinely enjoyable sports game. Do I chase power ups? Go for goals? Bonus points from stars etc? The upgrades and trading systems add depth to it
- all in all it's a great game all around.

Chaos Engine - was great on the PC and was a hard and relatively long game to get through.
Re: From the forum: 191
Definitely Speedball 2, it's still one of my most played ST games and that opening music is just incredible.

Cadaver for me. One of my favourite Amiga games. Speedball 2, Gods and the Chaos Engine were all superb too. Actually, thinking about it as I type, The Chaos Engine was awesome!
So, to sum up, I'd go for The Chaos Engine AND Cadaver. And Speedball 2.

Speedball II, not just for the great gameplay, but the whole vibe and chrome/metallic visuals matched that era in time.

I prefer Speedball over its sequel, keeping it to a single screen width makes it a more focused experience.
I'd also like to throw the oft derided Magic Pockets into the ring. For all the naysayers, it is a game I enjoyed greatly and one of the few to successfully replicate a console platform game experience on the ST.

Xenon 2.
Loved this game on the Sega Master System. The main new music was just awesome. Gameplay was quite good as well.

Speedball 2 all the way!
Re: From the forum: 191
Has the be Gods for me, I loved the puzzles back in the day and the way the game sort of adapted itself if you were playing well to make it harder.

Speedball 2... by a mile, for me.

Loved Xenon 2 and was one of a few shmups I enjoyed back in the day, however my favourite has to be Godz on the PC. It took me years to complete it (college and then life got in the way!).
