80% off Crypt of the NecroDancer is the stand-out of that lot for me.
It's one of those oddballs where they smashed together a rhythm game with a roguelike dungeon crawl, but it totally works and - even though it's a few years old - it's a great fit for the Switch.

Nice to see a re-release of OutRun, even though the music is remixed and the car model is changed up (understandable, they aren't gonna splash the cash for the Ferrari license).
Wish they'd re-release Coast 2 Coast too, although that would require more work due to the need to modify all those Ferraris in the game.
As far as I know the original soundtracks is there in all it's glory - I believe it also contains some of the new tunes from the 3DS version, which have also been remixed into 'classic' versions.

Yeah. Its got the original 3 tracks that sound just like they did in the arcade original, its just got a ton more music added as well, along with other additions from the 3DS version. I grabbed the Japanese version from the Japan E Shop and am loving it, so nice to have Outrun on a handheld I enjoy using. I took a break from it though as I ended up playing through Horizon Chase (100%ed that now) so I need to get bac to Outrun and Phantasy Star

This would be better news if it were part of the Nintendo online freebies. I assumed it was to start with, but nope, 3rd party paid for robbie.
True, but this would be the first time the arcade version has been made available much like DK before it. Where's the NES version and I think many NES games have been offered to us so many times now they're starting to loose their digital value. Thus, there is some money to be made from the arcade purists club.
They do need to do better with the subscription freebies but I can understand why they would make these arcade games something you pay for alone.

There are loads of games on there now that make it worth the cost alone. Nintendo have not said the online service will be anything other than NES games. All the other arcade games are one off purchases so it would be unusual that one new arcade games would be included in the NES games.

There is, of course, a version of Donkey Kong Jr for the NES. That was on the NES Classic, but isn't on the Switch's online service.
I guess we've got a pretty good idea why now, but maybe they'll add it as a future freebie when it won't be potentially treading on the toes of the arcade port.

Funny enough, the NES Service which includes NES DK launched around the same time as the arcade DK on Switch.

Never mind Donkey Kong, I can see some very late nights now I have a portable version of Puzzle Bobble 2. Possibly my favourite puzzle game ever.

Naah, that was about three months before the online service launched and the NES titles weren't even confirmed then.
Besides, the NES version of Donkey Kong is rank. They did a much better job with the sequel, even if it's far from arcade perfect.

Well, you could at least use your Game card or Amazon giftcards over Xmas to get an even cheaper deal for one thing. XD
