I would like them on the left but is hardly top of the "to do" list
I'm still trying to find my way around the forum now that all the sections have been thrown all over the place!

Yes I agree. I am excited at the prospect of being 'empanelled'. I would be even more excited though if I knew what that actually meant.

I suspect that they want someone who's always around but never rocks the boat.

That should easily count myself out on both scores.

Was a little odd seeing the new forum list but looks a lot cleaner, nice to see the selling section stand out at last.

I had a read of the AUP, a shame to see that Politics is still off limit especially in the current climate. I also think that it stops a lot of new threads being posted in Off Topic as people are weary of what can be said and not said.

Not to bothered about the avatars being moved personally, would prefer if the size when updating a new one could be made bigger. Inserting videos in to posts as well would be a nice touch if possible.

I like the theme as it is and see no reason to change it but if it is changed just make it clean and easily readable.

here could be some tidy up of stickied threads...
Enacted.
I DONT LIKE CHANGE!!
Well, it won't be that jarring of a change.
When are the Avatars moving to the left? The right just feels wrong!
Fun Fact: I have no idea where this setting is. It might actually simply be part of the theme itself, in which case, ugh. The theme could use an updating, but I feel based on earlier feedback that will prompt some heavier discussion and review. If any of you spot themes for phpBB you think would be ideal, toss them my way.

I'm only *slightly* rearranging the furniture. It's better this way. Trust me!

Hah! No. Moderatorship (in my book) is determined based on a meritocratic assessment of seniority, skill, jurisprudence, resilience, wisdom, temperance, and historical levels of feedback, involvement, and vociferousness. Members are empowered as moderators in the interest of their communities as stewards of them. It is purely mission-oriented, not granted as a reward for activity or longevity or as a feather in the cap. For all moderators, I reference Starship Troopers, "You're it until you're dead, or I find someone better." Moderator abuse is handled with impunity, the appeals process for users who are moderated is direct and concise.
I suspect that they want someone who's always around but never rocks the boat.
I prefer a mix of half stalwarts, half reformed troublemakers. The prior hold the line, the latter are needed disruptors.

Things have changed then? Hadn't noticed, I always just come here via the 'view new posts' option, so never see individual sections. Why rummage round when you can have the forum bring things to you?

Ok, I post very rarely here but I do visit for a read fairly often - so, please can you just use plain English (American English will do).

Can you honestly say that’s how you actually speak to people face to face?

Presuming that you don’t, it just comes across to me as you trying to be a smart-ass and doesn’t really make me want to read what you write or support what you are trying to achieve.

Unfortunately, I do. With perhaps a bit more conviviality that accompanies facial expression and body language not typically accompanying an 80x80 pixel avatar. I've been told that it sometimes sounds like I've swallowed a thesaurus, that I wax polysyllabic, or that I'm channeling The Architect from The Matrix. It isn't intentional, or an affectation. It's just how I communicate. Ideally, the actions it accompanies will persuade you as to the altruism of my intentions, rather than any perceived textual intonation parsed from the reception of the words themselves. If, at least, the aim is understood to be genuine, sincere, and in the beneficial interests of yourself - then perhaps the curt (bordering on terse) delivery can be forgiven. Or at least tolerated. ;)
