Definitely the old cinema.
I don't think it was EB as that was further up in the Arndale at the same time (opposite Debenhams I think). I almost bought a Neo Geo Pocket Color in there but couldn't really afford it.
Yeah you are right, I worked there when it was Future Zone. I don't honestly remember there being a Game before they took over EB.

I actually really liked that EB shop. In general I much preferred them to Game but they didn't do much in the way of trade ins at the time. I was a skint student so had to go for the cheapest deals. I bought the odd game though and would often pop in.

Started thinking about this earlier, then realised just about all the shops I have bought computers or consoles from are now gone!

Although I bought some of these machines at earlier dates, I have included the date of the newest one bought, a bit sad all my recent machines have come in through online stores, when there used to be some great retro stores round my way, now there are just a couple left..who use ebay for a price guide.

Speccy 48+ - Dixon’s in Tooting. Went in to get a C16 because my mate hate one but the guy there, nay the hero, talked mum into getting a Spectrum.

Amiga 1200 - a shop in Morden called Agamic or something. Bought it and then he said it’d arrive in a week. Argh! Came with four games, one of which was Syndicate so that was all good.

SNES - indie shop in Mitcham that closed down. Bought just to play Mortal Kombat 2 initially.

PS1 - HMV in Croydon or Bromley. Bought with Die Hard Trilogy. Was when the price dropped to £129.

Dreamcast - bought online. Was left on my doorstep. I found it there in the morning when my gf was leaving the house.

360 - bought at Game with Dead Rising and DoA4. Dead Rising was a pure ten out of ten.

everything else was bought online or off of mates.
