A guy who used be a member here and many other forums under a wide variety of different names. His real name is Ross.
I just found it spooky how your post was so similar to one that he made on another forum, same quotes and everything.
Anyway, hope that explained things for you

Ok, well maybe I took the info from Atari Age - don't know the guy though.
EDIT: I assume Rogue Trooper is the Lost Dragon chap over there. If there is history between you two, I don't want to drag it over here.
Will happily edit any cut n paste stuff out of my posts. I have to say though, that between yours and his posts there is a better picture of Gauntlet 3 on the lynx. Either way, I'm still not a fan of the game.

Genius idea to have both the 'busy' and 'arty' (my definition) covers - pat on the back to whoever suggested that to deal with person A who says I love X, hate Y and person B who says the exact opposite.

Totally agree, i like it as when i go back to those issues i can quickly have a look at the back cover to see whats inside etc. Good move to shut us whingers up about the subscription covers;)
But yeah a good issue, reading the SNK article has made me want to fire up some of those old classics

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 187
It does make me wonder: Why not put both covers on the subs copies all the time? We could have the regular one, and the subs one. That then doesn't annoy the collectors who want both.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 187
Ah yes I stand corrected. I knew we had two cover images but fail to notice the retail one in your first post wasn't one of themThe Laird wrote: ↑Sun Nov 04, 2018 5:39 amActually that's wrong. Subs get a double sided cover but both are different to the retail issue.Arnie wrote: ↑Sun Nov 04, 2018 5:21 amSubscribers get both covers for this one just open from exclusive end or it's upside down. There's some nice content plus SNK supplement and stickers for the kiddies to decorate the walls and stuff with. I won't mention the junk advertising bumf - oh I just did. All in all some good reading ahead.

Love it, love it, love it. My fave issue for a good while. Two covers is great, but the back just needs to be the same as the non-subscriber front. Hopefully do this every issue moving forward. Loved most articles, especially neo Geo snk one and Eidelon and the mini snk guide. Keep up the good work.

Finally got the re-send of this issue - somehow got lost when I renewed my subscription, and have to say this is a cracking issue - the SNK articles are top notch, well done team.
