It was mostly PSJ posting.

Picked up or downloaded rather Iron Marines - it's an RTS from the Kingdom Rush folks.

Very well made as you'd expect from dev Iron Hide, but not got the fun factor of their tower defence titles. It's also very short for the prince - though to be fair they roll out free new levels usually

Basically a nice take on Pang with lots of retro style levels - eg the first batch is Tetris, think later on its Arkanoid etc. Even has a spoof on 'winners dont take drugs' at the start. Nice touch

Free to play on iOS. Well worth trying

Been a while ! Some nice platformers released the other day...

Spirit Roots
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/spirit- ... mpt=uo%3D4

Really nice polished platformer, they work really well on iphones. Great graphics and controls work well, lots of levels.

Snow Kids
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/snow-ki ... mpt=uo%3D4

Bit more simple/retro this one, bit like if Snow Bros was a scrolling platformer. You chuck snowballs at the enemies and then boot them away

Star Trader: Frontiers
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/star-tr ... mpt=uo%3D4

Bit more 'pricey' this one at £6.99. This was a huge hit on Steam, looks interesting from the videos but think this needs an ipad as theres lots of text on screen but i may pick this one up.

I just wonder how many of those are really suited to a system without physical controls though.

iPad really comes into its own for games like Civ VI ... it would be great to see other games like the Endless Space/Legends series come to that platform, it's made for games like that.

I admit I’m so used to playing games on my phone. Rarely play games on my iPad. Doom works really well. Just love it that be got so many classic games on my phone. Can’t get bor d anywhere !!

One game I play tons in my iPad is Star Traders: Frontiers. The devs do so many updates adding more to it. Huge space game with turn based combat when you board a ship. It’s excellent

The iPad mini is really good for gaming on the move. Lovely crisp screen, not too big, not too small. I’ve found the iPhone 8 to be a bit on the small side. I’m out of contract in December, and I just wonder whether an iPhone XS will be a good buy at that time. The iPhone 11 doesn’t really whet my appetite. The current model would probably do me for a while, and could be more reasonable value once it becomes ‘last gen’.

I’m quite impressed by the imaginative nature of card games on iOS. I’ve played Miracle Merchant more than I care to admit!
