Franchises and games you are surprised haven't returned
I was playing the new Mummy Demake game on the Xbox One the other day and it reminded me a lot of the Turrican games. That got me thinking to why nobody has ever revived or updated the Turrican as it was pretty popular back in the day and this style of game also seems to be pretty popular these days.
So what classic games and franchises are you surprised haven't been revived?

Hmm.. that's a very good question. Most definitely Tiger Woods on PC because they were the best golf games but then of course things went off the rails with him and so no more TW on PC.
High Heat Baseball got everything right in the 2004 edition, what I reckon was the best baseball video game ever, but they abruptly halted the series after going broke but damn, I wonder what they could produce in 2017 after that great last effort.
I'm a bit surprised another Monkey Island didnt come up but then again maybe they figured they'd done enough with "Tales.." which I hated. So maybe MI5 some day? Somehow doubt it though.. and if more adventures like Thimbleweed Park come out, that will be more than enough for me on that front!

With all things Star Wars being hot right now where is Rogue Squadron 4? Or at least a HD collection of the first 3 games?
With the revival of 2D games I'm surprised Capcom haven't done anything with Viewtiful Joe in a while.
I'm a little surprised more hasn't been done to make a Timesplitters 4 happen.
I can't say I'm surprised there hasn't been an F-Zero for a while but I think now could the time to bring it back with Nintendo settling for a Mario Kart 8 port for the Switch. Even just a GX HD port on the eshop would appease many fans.

The world needs timesplitters 4. The first 3 where amazing, would love a HD remake
Re: Franchises and games you are surprised haven't returned
Plenty of 2D Worms games out there, but the 3D ones seem to have disappeared. I'd love a 3DS one.

Pokemon Snap - It seems like the kind of game that would have worked well on the 3DS or even the Wii U. Heck, it could work well as a smartphone game. I hope to see it on the Switch, it could work well on that system too.
Monkey Island - I’ve been convinced this WOULD return for years, but no such luck. At this point I think it’s unlikely which is a shame. I’d love to see Ron Gilbert’s MI3.
Theme Hospital - I don’t know why there was only one of these games. Did it tank from a sales POV or something?
Canes Canim Edit/Bully - even frigging Manhunt got a sequel. Why didn’t this? I’ve no idea how it sold though so maybe that’s my answer.

I think Worms 3D is underrated, never understood the dislike many have for it.

It's funny- over xmas we were talking old games and Mutant League Football came up. I just saw that is indeed returning this year
Road rash has a nice update now, another old favourite is Jungle strike I would expect to see before too long
