Re: The Star Wars thread
There were 3 episodes and 3 stories planned, so the upcoming episode 8 is the 3rd of those 6.

Re: The Star Wars thread
Now there's a new trilogy in the works that has nothing to do with the Skywalker saga, so you can probably bet there'll be more "Star Wars Stories" in-between all of those.
Oh, and a live action TV Series to go with Disney's Streaming Service is in the works too.

Re: The Star Wars thread
Personally I'm pretty tired of SW these days as it's never as good as the originals as there's nothing new and they've not evolved the worlds or the 'religions' enough for me.
Now if they did movies with aliens as the main cast and on alien worlds that's be more interesting bit as John Carter and Valerians proves, people can't suspend belief long enough to accept that in a movie.

Re: The Star Wars thread
I've been avoiding Last Jedi spoilers so a bit behind on news. Any solid links to those? Not heard of a new trilogy and the only live action show I know of Lucas shelved around The Clone Wars.ALK wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2017 3:31 pmNow there's a new trilogy in the works that has nothing to do with the Skywalker saga, so you can probably bet there'll be more "Star Wars Stories" in-between all of those.![]()

Re: The Star Wars thread
Here, there's not much info from what I said (Other then the guy directing Last Jedi will be behind the new trilogy).

Not long now. Don't want to get too hyped just want a good little but darker story which I think is what we are getting.

I’m pretty tired of it all, too. I think I can blame the Prequels for that but the ludicrous amount of merchandising too. It is censored everywhere.

There is balance, as I can't get enough of it.SJ_Sathanas wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2017 6:50 amI’m pretty tired of it all, too. I think I can blame the Prequels for that but the ludicrous amount of merchandising too. It is censored everywhere.
Star Wars has always been everywhere, apart from a brief spell in the 90s. It makes me happy to see it.

Re: The Star Wars thread
Loved the original 3 but I-III really tarnished the memory for me. Force Awakens was ok, but Rogue One proved that with a good storyline (esp involving Imperial higher ups) the series can shine.

Re: The Star Wars thread
So what did people think of Star Wars: The Last Jedi?
SPOILER FREE
============
I enjoyed it on the whole, there are several big WTF?? moments in there and it's surprsingly funny and emotionl at times. There are bits that definitely could have been trimmed back and tightened, if not cut out completely. Some new (and old) characters are both interesting and annoying in the ways that they are used, but on the whole when it did Star Wars it DID Star Wars. 8/10. Not perfect (far from it), but it had some perfect moments.
[EDIT] Clarity.

Re: The Star Wars thread
Just seen it. I genuinely don't know what to make of it. No spoilers here but it is a very very different movie.
