Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??
I did have a quick look on eBay before I took the plunge and the cheapest one was around £300 ish for a boxed one and bidding was up to £140 for one that didn't work 100%. Neo Geo's seem to fetch strong money these days, and I doubt I could afford any games for it. I know you can convert the MVS cartridges to work on a AES but they are still ridiculous money. I don't see the point of buying a system that I can't afford to buy any decent games to play on it!

Based on that I am glad I bought one when it was new for about £120 plus the mega pack.
Since then I bought a rewired SD card with all the Neo Geo (and other) Roms installed

From someone selling theirs on ebay. They bought it from the US but never used it and then sold the console!
Cost me about £35.

It makes sense to play emulated neo geo games given the fact you have to be a millionaire to afford all the decent games for it!

Exactly my point! I know eBay is generally overinflated with regards to prices, but the average Neo Geo game is in the £250+ region, so I'll never be able to buy any (Kizuna Encounter is right out the window! LOL!). Plus as its hand-held, I can play it on the go! And if I can find any, more games are available on an SD card...

NeoGeo AES games are that price, AES tend to be less and CD are right at the bottom, probably because nobody can be asred to wait for it to loadlupogtiboy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2017 10:11 amExactly my point! Picked up a couple of Mayflash Gamecube controller adapters. The price for the two-pack was only £3 more.
These are the ones that connect to the Wiimote, that turn the GC controller into a Classic Controller so it can be used on the Wii and Wii U where the CC is supported. The downside is the GC controller only having the one Z button, to compensate there is a ZL button on the adapter itself but it's obviouisly not ideal for many games. It is however suitable for Smash Bros and Mario Kart, and even Super Mario 3D world and Yoshi's Wooly World.

I picked up Little Nightmares and Dishonoured 2 in Sainsbury's both PS4 £10 each. Always felt with Dishonoured it was forcing you to play in a non lethal way, but the Psycho in me just liked killing everything.

Elite Dangerous - I have no idea what I'm doing! I picked up my first mission to buy some stuff for someone, but I'll be buggered if I can work out what gets sold where. I miss proper game manuals

Picked up 'Alien Isolation ' used from GAME their sale bin for about £5.50 for the 360, got it home and it was pretty scratched up, also wouldn't install on the hard drive binned it as remember a dodgy scratched 007 game ruining my PS 3 laser - I might add, I suspected that myself as it was spinning a bit and nothing wrong with console beofre that. So, thought, I quite like the 360 and still use it best not risk it. Picked up from GAME as Well 'Bioshock 2' for about £3.50, in better condition and am enjoying that so far. Really want to pick the 'Bioshock Collection' when I've got time to pick up a PS 4. Played the 'Infinite' game a while ago on the PS 3 and loved that. Holding off getting a XBox One until the new one comes out and see what that brings.

Treated myself to Baten Kaitos for the Gamecube, and a Wavebird controller.

From what I remember I thoroughly enjoyed Baten Kaitos - it was a great looking game.
