It's a shame it boiled down to these two... Love the 360 and skipped the SNES as I disliked the NES so much.

My vote has to go for the 360.

Why is it a shame. 2 of the best consoles ever. these and the NES would probably make up my top 3.

I mean it's a shame for me - as I have no interest in the SNES and love the 360... had it been 2 consoles I liked then I'd have liked to argue with myself

the snes had a decent spell when it was kicking the megadrivel around, but it's not in the same class as the awesome 360.

360 is the best pure games machine of all time, best games, most variety, superior pad, brilliant online, fantastic retro scene, it wipes the floor with the snes and every other machine too.

360 for me. Yes I have awesome nostalgia for the snes when I was a teenager.

But if I'm being honest with myself I would say I have enjoyed far more games over the years on the 360. It's certainly cheaper to buy games for now

A well deserved Winner IMO.

A deserved Runner up in the Xbox 360.

Personal disapointment - The Gx4000 should never have been beaten by the C64GS. I think C64 fans were letting fondness cloud their judgment in this and seeing it as a C64 vs Amstrad CPC contest. The fact is that the C64s was not only a bad machine but it was actually unable to play most of the games released for it. At least the Gx4000 added a 2nd fire button, was able to actually play its games and had games that took use of its improved capabilities.

Oh, and I was hoping for the NES to do better.

A common sense victory! (and well overdue!)

2nd for 360 seems pretty fair as well, and 3rd place for PS2 as well (although joint 3rd technically, with the Master System which does seem a touch out of place, but never mind!)
