YOUR FAULT SARA COX
well strictly speaking its originally the fault of australian author Nick Earls, one of his novels was from the perspective of a guy that was a massive go-betweens fan, I in turn bought some of their 80s output, loved it, still have it in storage (i think?) and then when going through past episode playlist of ms cox's show, happened upon one of their old songs, found it on youtube, and another and another...........
This is a regular occurance for me, I have by my own admission an encyclopedic knowledge/obsession of 80s and 90s music (I wanted to work in radio before realising no-one wants to hear as much forgotten/great music as possible) so now I have all this music nerdiness and no outlet other than my own youtube history

Many a great song has been created based on the events of the era. It proved to be decent material for the likes of Dylan, Rolling Stones, Beatles and Neil Young etc etc etc.
It would be very dull if all songs were just about relationships, sex and "cribs"!

Depeche Mode - Spirit. New Album.
Had a quick listen to the start of each track last night and didn't think much of it. Given it a proper listen to this morning and actually really like it! I do wish they would do the occasional old DM eighties style track though.

It's somewhat hypnotic! Just listened to it 3 times in a row... and watched a couple more from them

Odd, but I like it

I listened to it a few days ago and thought it was okay. I'll give it another go soon.

The re-release of Fleetwood Mac's "Tango in the Night". I got the deluxe set and it's on vinyl. A few extra tracks as well. Surprised they didn't make the cut for the album the first time - although I suspect it might have been down to space. Amazing to think I bought it at Woolworths on its first release back in 1987 and on cassette tape.
Now everyone : "I want be you everwhere. Oh waaaa dedededede I want to be with you everywhere. Everywhere."
