Darksiders: Warmastered Edition (31 December 2016)
Zelda Breath of the Wild (March/April 2017)
Nothing else on the horizon except downloadable indie games.
Some good news though... Pikmin 2 (Wii version) has just been released on the e-shop (both original Gamecube and Wii version are expensive these days)
Not a bad three games to go out on, though. When you consider how many consoles end their days mired in budget kids games and cheap shovelware that's quite a decent little selection to see off Wii U. And with the final release scheduled for 2017 the machine will just about limp into a sixth calender year.
As a new parent the Wii U has been a godsend of a machine. I don't have time to play much so the massive gaps in releases have actually been beneficial to me; as has the fact that most of the games have been reasonably family friendly so I haven't had to worry about the little chap having his mind warped if he's been in the room. Basically everything that's made everyone else moan has been a plus for me!

Well, assuming Ubisoft don't keep releasing another Just Dance every year for years just like the Wii.
I assume the entire disc library must be way under 200 right? Pretty easy system to fully collect if so.

Yeah, and it'll all probably be up for a good while. The original Wii Shop celebrated its 10th anniversary last November......and it's still running with most of its content!

Just picked up a Wii U - I had over 100 quid in cex vouchers. Just wondering can you get around the region lock? Not bothered about homebrew or piracy. Just wondering about the region lock don't want to use a modchip unless it's a last resort.

Chances are, Nintendo's probably still going to keep an eye on the Wii U for hardware mods and whatnot. Dunno about Wii U but with 3DS if the next firmware update sees you messed around with the device through hacking/modding, it can brick your system.
But honestly, I don't think there's much worth importing as far as titles we never got are concerned...

Just had a look and your right. Even Japanese devs seem to have given the Wii U a wide birth, which is a shame as my first impressions are positive.

Little update on Darksiders. It's still on-track for a release on Wii U but they're hoping for an End of March release.

Anyone pre-ordering the Wii U version? Is pre-ordering even necessary if you're not bothered about tat? I was just gonna go with amazon as I have an account there but it seems it's not available (sold out already?).
I'm a bit surprised how much the Wii U game is going for actually, around £50. I paid about £45 for Skyward Sword and that was with the Gold Wiimote.
Edit: found base.com doing it for £43.

I pre-ordered it with Amazon around 3-4 days before it was "no longer available". Perhaps they have simply sold out of the allocation that they know they have i.e. perhaps there will be more stock than they realise and order will open again?
Either that or the Wii-U release will actually be relatively limited like the GC edition of
Twilight Princess.
