The bridge in tadcaster that collapsed last year still hasn't been repaired (though i think it is grade II listed so that may be why they are taking their time)Megamixer wrote:For the comparison, there was a small bridge over here in the UK (I forget where) that was washed away by floods this year causing a 20 mile diversion. Really would be nice if people could just do things and immediately sort it out rather than p1ssing about with red tape!
It's also to do with the fact that Sam Smith (of Sam Smith's breweries) basically owns most of the property in the town and refused to let the council put up a temporary footbridge while they repaired it as it's technically on his land. And he's miserable miserly old sod.playzooki wrote:The bridge in tadcaster that collapsed last year still hasn't been repaired (though i think it is grade II listed so that may be why they are taking their time)Megamixer wrote:For the comparison, there was a small bridge over here in the UK (I forget where) that was washed away by floods this year causing a 20 mile diversion.
