Later on it was The fabulous furry freak brothers, Fat Freddies cat, and Brain Damage.
Am I showing my age yet?
Stuff about Brain Damage here, because I am shameless

The usual, dandy, beano, topper etc before moving onto Marvel and DC stuff.
Also, Total Carnage was a favourite. The artwork on Army Of Darkness remains gobsmacking to this day.
I've still got every Marvel, DC etc comic Ive ever had under my bed. My 3 year old loves looking through them but gets heavy handed so he's now got a box of all the weird ones I've got from blind bags to go through.

As a really small kid I read just the Dandy!
As a 10yo or so it was the Transformer comics and in my teens the Deaths Head and Deaths Head 2 comics but not a lot else.
Never got into Spiderman, Superman or even Batman at all!

Just a heads up, theres a new IDW comic bundle on the Humble Bundle for this week, for a few quid you can get a whole slew of Transformers and GI Joe Comics (including the gloriously bonkers Tom Scioli's Transformers vs. GI Joe) and if you pay the top tier which is about £11.00 it includes the Revolution tie ins so far, which is IDW's attempt to create a 'Hasbroverse' bringing together Transformers, GI Joe, Action Man and MASK. It's really ,really worth it.
You also get Street Fighter x GI Joe, but that's utter bobbins.

I used to love reading 'look in' which was more a kids magazine than a comic as I remember. Also loved the beano, seem to remember that after we moved when I was about 8 the local newsagent had a box of previous month or so back issues for something like 10p each, which was awesome.

I've never really been into superheroes so most of the comics I had as a kid were Scooby Doo, Top Cat and Laff-a-Lympcis.
I did get into 2000AD when I was in high school, I had a great big stack of weekly issues that I ended up giving away. I did keep the monthlies which I still have somewhere.

Look In, Smash Hits but my main love was Battle which then led to Battle Action Force, Crash, ZZap 64 magazines were so good back then. I have loads of them especially Battle and Crash magazine possibly the greatest magazine ever the artwork was amazing. Maybe Super Play can give it a run for its money. I had every single issue of Super Play amongst others which I binned about fifteen years ago, I could cry thinking back

Usual ones like The Beano, 2000 AD, Spiderman and I have a complete run somewhere of the 400-odd issues of the UK Transformers comic. I also have a collection of the Thunderbirds comics somewhere too.
One I need to find is my Spiderham comic, only have one issue but its brilliant! Peter Porker is Spiderham and his arch nemesis is Ductor Doom! I found in Spain whilst on holiday many moons ago, read it to death but I can't find it now nor can I find another copy.
Magazines I guess are the likes of Amiga Format, Games Master, C&VG, Mountain Biking UK, Fast Car, Max Power, Revs, Performance VW, and What Hifi? amongst others. I find it hard to throw old mags away too, I like to get my monies worth!
Its small, its fast, its just gone past! www.clublupo.co.uk
