I want to put in a Metallica video in my blog post and despite searching for the exact title it brings up one video which is a Simpsons video.

You can just copy/paste the URL of the video in I think.

its always in october, usually opens around the first week, only difference is the closing date for entries is slightly earlier in november

I had a look at doing that but couldn't see how to. I ended up clicking share to Blogger on the video which brings up a small screen to mess around with and then copy and pasting my text from my original post to this one.

Oh and then the video disappeared from the post.

I always despise chuggers in town yet the conpany I work for expect us to ask every single customer if they want to donate to Children in need, i dont feel comfortable doing it as customers are paying, then to be asked if they want to "round up to the pound for" the look on their faces thinking ooh if i say no youll think im tight, yet myself im dying inside for asking in the first place.

Im sure theyll donate through their kids in school or wherever. The problem arises then when you get regular customers that will get asked every few days maybe.

Tactics have changed though wherby we arent to ask to round up we are then told to ask how much do you want to donate...the person then thinks how stingy am i going to look and are pressured into saying "ooh a couple of quid or a fiver even..

Then we will get an email AFTER CIN has finished wherby for the following 2weeks we still try and mop up any more donations where people say..hasnt it finished?

All because some director or bugwig somewhere is waiting for a charity knighthood, of course there are those people that chugging comes natural to and theyll dress up and rattle tins to the customer making it light hearted, but it doesnt come natuarally and it feels awkward doing, so I dont.

How about those card payment machines at Esso petrol stations that come up with "Add 25p for charity?" each time you pay by card.

Dont get me wrong there have been people only too willing to donate and say its a good idea "for them" but wearing badges with "help us to top up for pudsey" or having incentives for the most money raised per dept based on customer footfall rather than the actual donation is just a pressure on top of doing your job without worrying that people are going to be arseyy about being asked. i dont like it tbh

children in need always leaves a bad association with me, those awful people at my old place of work were my ex and her mum, as soon as c.i.n was allowed there those two looked like pudsey had thrown up on them.

if i give to charity i want it to be as discreet as possible

I was looking forward to actually getting a job that would benefit me more, theres next to no jobs that come up at the Uni, so they lied about that when I signed up
