Locked out user

Post by deKay » Thu Oct 13, 2016 5:40 am

Hello! Can someone help, please?

Lorfarius, a member here, is trying to log in but his account is apparently disabled. It says for him to contact a mod, but he can't because he can't log in...

Is there anyone here who can unlock/re-enable/whatever his account please?

I've PM'ed Markopoloman, hopefully he can help. I know he has the ability to block spam accounts etc, so I think his powers may extend far enough to assist.

Weird one though, since Lorfarius PM'ed me only yesterday!

I've checked his profile and all seems to be normal. Not blocked and shows he logged in yesterday.

Has he tried again recently?

He says:
I've been trying for several hours last night after I changed my email address last night. Been clicking several times each day and get this everytime:

The specified username is currently inactive. If you have problems activating your account, please contact a board administrator.

Get the same if I click forgot password. :(

Also no to the IP block question as I've tried it at work, home and mobile!

I don't suppose there's been any sort of automated email from the forum following the change of email address? Might be worth checking his spam box in case it's ended up there. Can't say for sure it happens here, but it could be there's a layer of security that needs him to click some link or other in an email to confirm it's a valid address.

Ok, it now says user inactive... so I've activated the account. See if that works.
