Re: Cex now selling Super Nes stuff
I've ordered Brutal: Paws Of Fury not the best game but one that's always intrigued me. It was a fiver which was an OK price.
Re: Cex now selling Super Nes stuff
My local one has had a few N64 things for the last month now. Games, controllers, a boxed Goldeneye that doesnt seem to be going anywhere....

Re: Cex now selling Super Nes stuff
Mine had a couple of N64 Zelda carts a few weeks back. Even though they're not my kind of thing, it warmed my heart slightly seeing them there - it gave me hope that they might yet go back to the old ways.
I admit it's unlikely... and anyway, I've got Pixels to take care of that sort of thing these days.

Might be just like what Gamestation would used to do, occasionally go back to selling retro stuff and seeing if it sticks or not, before just giving up till next time.

Re: Cex now selling Super Nes stuff
CEX and Cash Converters have been selling odd bits of retro here and there for years.
I was in Bath yesterday and they have an independent video game store with a significant amount of retro but it was way overpriced. £40 for an original DMG Gameboy, £60 for a loose N64 and £110 for a loose copy of Conker's Bad Fur Day (was pleased to see that in the store but not at that price).

It's called running a business and making a profit. The CEX prices aren't bad if you have a ton of common stuff. I got the best part of £20 for a few old PS2, PC and N64 games that would either come back unsold on eBay or go for peanuts - not to mention P&P and the risk of non-paying, fraudulent, incompetent or just downright difficult buyers.n-g-m wrote:Gotta love the "We buy for £2", "We sell for £10"
If CEX want my common crap and think they can get more by selling it on, good luck to them. Personally, I can't stand hanging around waiting to find a buyer for something I want to sell. I'd rather just get it shifted and move on.
Re: Cex now selling Super Nes stuff
My local one has been selling retro stuff for a while now. It was all in a glasses cabinet and was cash only. I am guessing it was an 'on the side' sale.
I second that mate, for common crap places like CEX are great. They will take the lot, no waiting for buyer that may take weeks / months to come along just to get an extra few quid. Rare / weird
stuff is another story.
I was going to start ripping on the prices however. Some of them are ok
Legend of Zelda, The: A Link to the Past, Unboxed
They sell for £40
Buy Cash £18
Buy Voucher £26
Looking on ebay it sells for around £20 - £40, so the prices they are using are not far from the mark
