Odd request but there's been odder, so here we go...

Take a look at the packaging on this toy rat:

Can anyone tell me what font's getting used there? I saw it for the first time on a compilation album back in 2000 and have been looking for it ever since, it seems to be popping up in more and more places these days... It's taken sixteen years for me to think of looking for the answer online, whoops.

does anybody know what font this is? it comes from the back of a boxed football figure packet? (see link it is 3rd picture and it is on the bottom right where the font is i.e rangers)

^ Looks a bit like an italic Palatino but I don't think it's an exact match.
