Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs
Well, I've 100%ed Star Fox 0 technically - as I've got all 70 medals now from doing all the level challenges. Its a weird game, first impressions for me varied depending on the level but once I really put time and effort into replaying the game and doing all the challenges my opinion on the game and all but one of the levels shot up dramatically. Its a great game with a control scheme that takes a bit of getting used to. The level designs and dog fights are excellent, the levels themselves are very replayable and the little extras you get when clearing the game with all 70 medals (or just using a compatible Amiibo) change the way the game plays enough for you to replay it some more.
Its a flawed gem, and probably one that I'll be playing for some time to come.

Is it worth the purchase then would you say for a casual star fox fan?
Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs
Yes. I feel that once you adapt to the controls its great. There are plenty of ace on rails sections that make it (in my opinion) the best Star Fox game since Star Fox 64.samhain81 wrote:Is it worth the purchase then would you say for a casual star fox fan?

I have steered clear of nintendo consoles since the gamecube. Have never owned or even played a wii.
But after seeing how good the mario and mario Kart games on DS are I might give one of these a go

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 arrived over the weekend - I'd forgotten I'd ordered it.
Looks interesting though!

Pre-ordered Mirage Sessions - thought I'd better had. Only the second new release of pre-ordered this year and it was one that I'd been keeping an eye on for several years now. Was also unsure as to just how quickly this one might sell out and shoot up in value given the Fire Emblem + Megami Tensei flavours involved.

Heard that people (sorry, Scalpers...they aren't 'people') were selling the first run pre-orders for over £150 on ebayALK wrote:The limited edition of Tokyo Mirage Sessions is back in stock.

I only went for the standard as there was nothing in the LE that interested me too much but I've since learnt that Nintendo have censored/made edits to the game! Bit peeved that they've done this again following their Project Zero meddling but I still want to play the game anyway.
Meanwhile, I see that Paper Mario Colour Splash is getting a lot of hate online. I know it looks like it's going to commit the same sins as Sticker Star (i.e. not an RPG, ignoring characters unique to the PM sub-series) but it still looks to be a lot of fun with tons of the usual charm going for it. I'll deffo be buying a copy.

Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs
Figured I'd order the limited edition as like you said, the combination of the franchises as well as being an Atlus game on Wii U almost guarantees this game will be hard to find and high priced the moment it goes OOP, nevermind the limited edition.Megamixer wrote:Heard that people (sorry, Scalpers...they aren't 'people') were selling the first run pre-orders for over £150 on ebayALK wrote:The limited edition of Tokyo Mirage Sessions is back in stock.
