If the answer is NO then do yourself a favour and take up knitting or drawing or learn an instrument or something... find a hobby that doesn't bore you senseless for the sake of your own sanity.
New KOF?
Even if it does look to be a lot like a lot of modern fighters and be full of pointless BS
Is that it?
So you're actually not really into games very much at all are you?

I have a shelf full of games to be played anyway so a quiet year isn't necessarily a bad thing. I get more annoyed when loads of stuff is announced that screams "must have!" to me. Not enough time or money :(
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Looks cool. I like the rules of the robot, helping the pilot to survive. Made me think of Last Guardian. I wonder if it will be better than Halo 5 which I thought was pretty awesome.

What's wrong with PS2 games?
It literally does not look like a PS2 game anyway.

Yeah, but if the Xbox Scorpio also turns out to be for real, you'd probably be wanting one of those the year after too.

Battlefield 1 looked great, proper destruction of maps return to the game and the airships look amazing when they get shot down.

Yeah it looks good. I'm a bit disappointed they've seemingly thrown WW1 authenticity completely out of the window though. The speed of those tanks! All those automatic submachine guns!

Still, it's more BF4 even if it's little more than a reskin. I'll be buying it.
If it's slower than me, dumber than me and it tastes good ... tough titty.

Ah, come on. After Hardline you just knew it was only ever going to be a re-skin job. That said, I think it's sensible of them not to want to muck about with the gameplay too much. There'll be lots of players expecting to readily transfer their skills from the earlier games and they wouldn't want to throw off what's a pretty well balanced multiplayer game.

For those after a more authentic WW1 shooter, there's always Verdun.

A remastered Skyrim is in the works, day one for me. Didn't complete half the stuff in that game when I played it last time.

It just means the WW1 thing is predominantly a gimmick is all. It's not a gamebreaker. Nobody expected them to break the BF gameplay in the same way Hardline did but I do feel they've played it too safe here. Bearing in mind I haven't played it at all and the multiplayer footage I watched mostly featured an arsehole running and gunning with a sniper rifle (which had a ridiculously anachronistic replacement for the modern ACOG on it btw).
It just seems like a missed opportunity to make something the same but different, rather than just making something almost exactly the same.
