Re: No future for F-Zero?
F Zero was a cool game back in its day. Though it is a little dated nowadays but could look nice with hd upscaling...

Probably a bit too "hardcore" for the current Nintendo fanbase...RodimusPrime wrote:With the NX coming up, hopefully we see a new Game.
With the Wii, and WiiU its been 2 consoles without one.

Although GX also didn't sell that well. Futuristic racers are a niche genre today which is unfortunate as they're really fun if done right.
Re: No future for F-Zero?
There is that Fast Racing for the Wii and Wii-U, think they're a Nintendo exclusive franchise so that may scratch the F-Zero itch for nintendo fans.
I think it's good they've held off making F-Zero all this time, absence makes the heart grow fonder, hopefully by the time they do a new one it will be more of a big deal because it's the first one in a while and the new tech will make it a bit special.

It's got a lot to live up to though. Sega's involvement in GX was magical.pratty wrote:There is that Fast Racing for the Wii and Wii-U, think they're a Nintendo exclusive franchise so that may scratch the F-Zero itch for nintendo fans.

Can't help thinking about the apathetic reaction to Starfox Zero and wondering if a new F-Zero would ever live up to the expectation.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

The reaction to starfox is purely down to the controls. its really really annoying as there is a great game there, you can just tell playing ot that it would be great but the controls are a barrier.Megamixer wrote:It's got a lot to live up to though.
