Last night I was very sad to hear that the genius that was Dave Needle passed away. No details have as yet been provided on the cause but I thank his friend and co-creator RJ Mical for bringing us the news.
For those that don't know Dave was the co-creator of the Commodore Amiga, Atari Lynx and 3DO Multiplayer and is a true innovator in the video game industry.
The Lynx is still my favourite ever machine and brought me so many happy times over the years, this video very much explains why I love the Lynx so much:

Thank you so much for all the memories Dave, R.I.P.

Sad stuff, the Amiga was my first proper outlet for gaming and I have many great memories of that machine.
And, I don't think The Laird was plugging anything, you don't have to click the link if you don't want to!!

Didn't know the man but I must say that the Amiga, Lynx and 3DO were all pretty visionary platforms, even if they didn't get the same sized audience. May he RIP.

I'm locking this thread to tidy it up. Beans & HalcyonDaze00 - you need to stop this personal issue with the Laird and his posts. I suggest you both leave this thread alone unless you have something constructive and un-insulting to add.
Should you wish to continue with the childish attack, you'll be issued with a forum warning.
EDIT: Re-opening topic.
Although the comments have been deleted, they have been saved. Whatever the issue is with you guys, you need to let it go and leave each other alone. I'm not interested in 'he said this, he said that' PM's or arguments. Warnings will be issued followed by bans. It stops here.

Never heard of the bloke, but anyone who had a hand in creating the Amiga is a good un' in my book. Easily my favourite computer of all time.

Pretty much what mark's said. This witch hunt is getting pretty tiring and pathetic. You're all grown men after all.
If there's any more harassment you'll be banned for the relevant amount of time. It's getting pretty tiresome that the same old people just can't leave the past in the past.
