Just ended up having a conversation about the garbage that used to be on ITV when you came in from a night out in the early 2000's. Anyone remember Clubavision? A magazine show mainly consisting of mashed up people talking utter drivel to interviewers about how they loved the ambience at Cream or Gatecrasher or somewhere then epilepsy inducing video of clubbers raving? I honestly preferred it when it went over to the night service of a version of teletext you couldn't change.

Someone lent me the box set of that almost a year ago, haven't got around to watching it yet

There was that thing on Channel 5 in the early years of the century where they'd set up hidden cameras to play jokes on thieves (like leaving a car unlocked, and when would-be car-nickers get inside it fills up with foam, or leaving a living room window open and when the potential burglar climbs inside they turn on the lights and it's a surprise party).
i remember that!!!!!!

was it called busted or something like that?

edit- it was called swag and there are a few episodes on youtube

Samurai Pizza cats.

It was a cartoon about cats that liked pizza...who were also samurai.

Pretty sure this was a thing that existed but no one I mention it to ever seems to remember it :o

I remember noel's appearance- very weird character comedy which I didn't find funny.

Same episode had chris Addison, lucy porter, boothby graffoe, jim tavare and possibly a young lee mack.

Swag, that's the one :D
I'll go an have a nosey on YouTube for it...

As for Samurai Pizza Cats, that was an integral part of my childhood - if the merchandise was there I'd probably have just as much of their stuff as I did for Turtles and Ghostbusters. An interesting thing I learnt after the Internet was a thing was that the show arrived at Saban without a script, so they just made up pretty much everything based on their visual interpretations of the Japanese cartoons - sticking a lot of satire in there with digs at the Turtles and Japanese and American culture and so on.

And on the subject of "late night Saturday telly" - Exploitica on Channel 4, loved that! Got over ten hours worth of it on my hard drive now... Mostly taking old films and putting weird dialogue over the top, fun for watching in a vegetative state.

I remember Ludwig well, it had a striking bizarreness about it so it sticks in the memory.

I'd always assumed it was foreign, with an English narrative dub, as was common for 70s kids TV (Heidi anyone?), but looking it up now it turns out to be a BBC production!

There's a short but interesting entry on [urlhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludwig_(cartoon)]Wikipedia[/url] for it, where one of the creators reveals he has digitised copies for sale - all 25 episodes for just a fiver. These have been created from the masters, so probably as good quality as you'll get. There's a free sample episode if you want a quick nostalgia hit.

You can watch every episode of Round The Bend here: http://www.tonyhusband.co.uk/rtbvideowall.html

Used to like Vicky the Viking - mainly remember an episode where they went surfing using their shields, and Vicky said to the fat one "You'll need two" - necessary, but I thought it was rude of Vicky to point it out!
