Have a few of the white units and they've all stood the test of time, free-standing. Beautiful things but heard a whistle they were stopping them last year. Something i need to go and check. They're about as good as it gets, until those creative box set designers get involved !

I've found they don't really reduce the amount of noise, just take away some of the grime.djcarlos wrote:It is an Ikea unit, but it's bolted to the wall so it ain't going anywhere!
As for cleaning....I use a liquid cleaner that I get from eBay with a micro-fibre cloth, that's it. I've used cleaning machines before but the fluid I found does the job. I've got through gallons of the stuff...
I recommended it to Darran the other day so he can either corroborate or destroy my report!
EDIT -It's called "Into The Groove"
I've not used that one though, so will order some and check it out.

They just changed the name from Expedit to Kallax.PAC wrote:Have a few of the white units and they've all stood the test of time, free-standing. The sides, top and bottom have been slimmed down slightly so the units are slightly smaller but the compartments remain the same size. The load rating remains the same though. I have 2off 2x4's and they're just as good as the old style.

Been listening to some Perturbator again.

Here is a link to a fan made video that was liked so much it became the official video for the tune itself.

Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

They were redone for the first time release on a physical format. Along with also being remastered to sound better than the compressed versions to be found online. The third album dangerous days is even better.Megamixer wrote:Love the art on those!silvergunner wrote:Been listening to some Perturbator again.

Will post a picture tomorrow once I dig it out. I have a picture disc version also to arrive in the post soon of dangerous days which looks sweet.

I thought with this being primarily a gaming forum you collectors might be interested in this:

Sounds pretty sweet! The same company has also done a Streets of Rage one and a Shinobi III vinyl is in the works.

I asked for orange. It gave me lemon lime!

We were sent both. They sound pretty decent. I'd have preferred Shenmue to be a double LP though as it's missing music.

So, I took the plunge after seeing too much cheap vinyl in local charity shops - got some great bits - Ziggy Stardust, 2001 Soundtrack, Joe Jackson and - ahem - the Kids from Fame Album (only a quid each).
The Artist Formerly Known as Timothy Lumsden...

Just picked-up The Stone Roses eponymous first album, the 2014 remastered repress....
Sounds bloody lovely! Much better mastering than the original funnily enough.
