Are there any retro items you still want / need?

a few years back there was a thread on here where people listed the big retro items they hoped to own one day

is there still an item or items you haven't got round to buying or haven't found?

for me, the only thing I still want but have never bought is an Atari jaguar. have owned pretty much every other console that has interested me except this. current ridiculous eBay prices are the only reason but I know I will crack sooner or later

I'm still trying to increase my Nes, Master System, Snes, Megadrive, PC Engine, Saturn and PS1 collections. Mainly though the one thing that continues to elude me is this:



Chinese Rockman X8 special edition for the PC. I'd love to get my hands on this, but can't find it anywhere

None that I can think of. Most of stuff is in storage now anyway so there is little point in collecting anymore.

I paid £25 for my copy of Gorf: Special Edition for the Jaguar CD, now it sells for over £1000

Mr Boston for the Vectrex. Jagten cart for the C64. Isn't much I'm still after, even though I'm slimming down much of what I own. I've got Japanese C64, Vic20 and MAX computers, so that's complete now, together with C64GS and SX64.

Are Jag prices on eBay that stupid now or something?

They have been stupid for a long time. But it's understandable really, the Jag was a massive failure but is now very collectible, so there aren't tons of games or systems out there.

Oof really? I remember buying a brand new Jag in Electronics Boutique for a fiver back in the day. Even had Tempest 2000. Got rid of it shortly afterwards as...well it wasn't very good really.

That current price is daft though, it really is only worth a fiver at best.

Well, I had a look on eBay. I may have to re-evaluate the price I was thinking about asking for my CIB Jaguar and other bits if I decide to sell it... at this rate, it'll be about twice what I paid for it!

Define "silly money". Evidently cheaper than a Jaguar mind you (you're probably looking at 75-100 GBP for a working Vectrex unit). I own three and they are all still working fine.
