I'm not interested in the whole Amiibo thing, but I did see a couple of packs of the metal mario ones getting unpacked at Amazon today - There might still be some in stock.

I get the impression demand for these is going to plummet soon. All my local stores are rammed full of a huge variety of Amiibo now. I always figured they were popular just because they were so hard to find.

I missed the Nintendo store for pre-ordering ROB, Duck Hunt and Game & Watch, but luckily they were still on Amazon so I got them there. I was in a Game the other day and they had pretty much every Amiibo released (bar the silver and gold Marios), including all the ones considered rare, like Rosalina and Little Mac. I already had Little Mac but thought it was a good chance to add Rosalina to my collection. I'm so glad I never paid any more than retail for any of these :)

I like the look of the 30 years mario one, but i think forcing you to buy a game to own it is pretty crappy.

The modern one is separate http://store.nintendo.co.uk/amiibo/mari ... _id=118133

But they've also made the classic available in some kind of Mario box with other stuff which I guess is Nintendo's answer to lootcrate, only no subscription.

saw a load of the more sought after ones in my local game the other day, after spending so much time previously hunting for them and not finding much at all I was kind of taken aback to see them all lined up in game. I hear this is a common thing nationwide now, i've only just got around to visiting shops specifically for amiibo again. its pretty cool to see them all there for everyone to easily get hold of if they want them.

I preordered the modern colours Mario Maker Amiibo at Game, and then yesterday I couldn't resist ordering the classic colours one from the Nintendo store. It comes in that nice little collector's box with the other goodies - I won't be able to resist opening it up and having stuff on display in the games room, that 8 bit plushy looks so cool!

I've now got or pre-ordered all the Amiibo I want. I skipped a few of the common ones (Mario, Luigi etc), and would only pick them up if I saw them real cheap somewhere. My Amiibo display is getting very crowded in my trophy cabinet!
