Quick update regarding an almost complete Scooby Doo game arriving from nowhere thanks to the game’s creator via the Lemon64 forums…

I noticed that there is now non-C64 stuff on the site.

If you want any Atari stuff let me know, I have tons of info and screen shots etc. for unreleased games on the Jaguar, Lynx, 7800 and other Atari machines.

Thanks Kieran, though at the moment my primary focus is still on the C64 archive site (which takes a lot of time). I'm just mostly posting multi-format news items for other site findings on the main site for the time being - to keep things ticking over.

I've gradually built up a pretty hefty backlog so far to keep me going when things quieten down though - ironically this recently includes a stack of Atari materials from another contributor to sift through, which will keep me going for a while :)

Thanks for the offer though, much appreciated!

Still amazed to this day that stuff is still being uncovered on these games after some 20-25 years laters? Unbelievable and no matter what machine they are on, it's always a fascinating read to see something new or unheard of before. RG should do a feature on such things, I think it would be ace!!

Keep up the great work Frank.

RG has done features on key titles - check out issues 91, 122 and 126 for "games that time forgot" articles on the big three 8-bit machines.

Just over 18 years worth of searching for Games That Weren't - we are very proud to to present the fully recovered "Daffy Duck - And The Great Paint Caper". It's been some journey for us, but the full game was recovered in PDS source form and carefully constructed over the past month or so. Full details can be read in the main entry about how the game was found, and of course how we ever got to this stage.

Finally, you can now play the game as Hi-tec intended - and it certainly lives up to its glowing review from Zzap 64. Seasoned gamers will have no problem getting through it, but it is an important piece of C64 history now digitally preserved for posterity and which could well have been lost forever. Enjoy! :)
