Good on you for your principles. Me, I don't mind trading principles for a nice bottle if the flavour appeals to me
wainwright is one of my 'safe' choices, if i go out I generally only have 1 pint (the joys of a kidney condition) and a few places I have noticed tend to have that or tetley's on draught as an alternative to something like john smiths, if there is nothing on cask i at least know i can have a pint with my food and it will be drinkable

Had that Guinness XX thing the other night. Not really that amazing but alright. It's just Guinness I guess...not that that's a bad thing.

Also, this double chocolate stout thing (can't remember the name). Started off as just 'okay' then quickly became horrible towards the end.

Took these away from a pub in Leeds. Will be trying the herbal Orval this evening. Looking forward to Leffe Blau, given I enjoy Leffe Blond and Brun. The Chimay Goud [Gold] is available hand-pulled. The pub that sold these will shortly get in a hand-pulled Chimay Grande [Blau], which will be exclusively theirs.

Was it any good?

As for me - just one week until my next beer festival (and my last one running the Club!)
So, anyone down in the Poole area for the bank holiday weekend - my place is THE place to be

Is it a micropub, MPM? They are all the rage nowadays - especially in my old home county of Kent, where they seem to support the local micro breweries. What's your place called(if you're allowed to say on RG)?

Anyway, a quick question for you, MPM, have you ever heard and tried "Zool Ale"? Yep - like the old game. See the following :-

I saw the pump poster thing hanging up in a micropub recently. It wasn't on tap at the time.

I know Tiny Rebel Brewery very well but never heard of that one! Will be top of my 'must find' list!!

My new pub is too big to be a traditional Micropub, so I've created something new.... The Grand Micropub :D
8 real ales on hand pull, real cider, craft beer/lager, locally produced spirits etc... and due to the place being quite large, a partition is going up so we can have a games room with Pool, darts and skittles. Also, I will be updating my tabletop arcade machine and sticking that in the pub too :D

The place is called 'The Smuggler's Run' and is situated at 180 Ashley Road, Parkstone, Poole..... Opening mid to late September. Oh, and Nakamira works next door!

Will post more info when I know - but will be having some special invite only opening days
