Well, I guess 11 seconds is better than nothing

I've been waiting for the beta since I preordered Wolfenstein. Hope we get something soon!

I'm playing Brutal Doom to tide me over till then. If you haven't tried it I recommend you download it: http://www.moddb.com/mods/brutal-doom

If it'll play like a more violent, darker version of Serious Sam I'll be pleased. First two games are legends while the third part left mixed feelings. It's a question how this will live up to the legacy of the first two ones but double barrel shotguns, monsters with rocket launchers mounted on their shoulders and a industrial pumping metal soundtrack is a step in right direction.

I really enjoyed Doom 3 but won't deny it had its fair share of flaws. After years of two gun regenerating health COD clones hopefully the appetite is there for some good old fashioned ultra violence

Brutal DOOM is right up your ally, its DOOM turned up to 11 with a hint of Mortal Kombat

One of the best FPS ever! I'm genuinely looking forward to DOOM going back to its roots.

How the cancelled version looked like:

Yeah that was not Doom, more like Call of Duty meets Gears of War.

Some ruined city levels would be nice though, would pay a tribute to Doom II that way.

THE LOW DOWN!!

Looks like DOOM3
More monsters
No two weapon BS
No hide and seek
Health packs
NO HEALTH REGEN!!
Fast paced
THERES GONNA BE A BLOOD BATH!!!
Chainsaw of awesome
Death moves of awesome
Is the hand scanner dead mans hand a Red dwarf reference anymore?
Limb damage
Easy map maker mode
4 player deathmatch
Looks lush (this could change)

TL;DR
DOOM3+Brutal DOOM=DOOM4

Only real problem is that it might be linear to smeg, odds on first thing somebody trys to make is a full version of DOOM.

Time to beef up the PC

According to Bethesda, it will be on PS4 and XB1 too.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for ports to anything else though.
