It definately is a 3D model?
How else do you account for the disappearing ZX Spectrum text across the top of it?
Its deffo a render, though if it hadn't been explicitly stated I wouldn't have looked close enough to notice. I might have thought there was something a little odd, but not quite put my finger on it, would probably have assumed it was just a later model than the one I'm used to.

Beautiful. I'd also echo the key thing though, I don't remember them being quite that tall.

wow! very impressed
Although I was a c64 fan back in the day, there's something about the old rubber keyed speccy. Is there a free viewer we can use to look at this in glorious 3d?
looking forward to the c64 one (and possibly a ST one?) already

Its taken as read in 3D circles that any showing of work will draw constructive criticism for improvements that could be made. Yes, its a great piece of work as is, but some minor tweaks will perfect it and all that's been suggested
are minor tweaks.
Have you looked at his site? This is a very simple project for him in comparison to his other work, Most of the time will have been spent perfecting the materials, the physical build is fairly simple.
