I had the pleasure to meet him back in 2009, and he was incredibly friendly and welcoming, despite the sheer number of people wanting to speak to him. I was hoping he was going to pull through this latest setback in his health. You lived long and prospered my friend.

Just a few days ago I watched the last episode of the first season of Fringe, when he showed up (and I did not know about that!), and I thought "yay! Leonard Nimoy! That's great!"

Very sad to hear this  rest in peace sir, you will be missed.

RIP Ambassador Spock. I guess this means that the rebooted Star Trek films won't feature him any more - unless they CGI him in. He had a good run to 83. He and Shatner were close friends. Although, he is mainly known for Spock - he did appear in Mission : Impossible for a while, then there was his directing career(Star Trek III and IV, and Three Men and a Baby) - then there the fact that,he contributed to the screenplays of Star Trek IV and VI, he did two autobiographies(I Am Not Spock and I Am Spock) - and most recently his appearances as William Bell in Fringe.

I've always been a fan of the Original Series, and Spock was one of my favourite Star Trek characters. Sad news.

Yeah his legendary Simpsons moments came to mind multiple times yesterday, since I've not really watched the Original Star Trek since childhood (I know I know, it's always on my to do list) outside of the new films where he would reprise his role and even had that neat passing of the torch moment with the young Spock.

R.I.P Mr Nimoy, the Cosmic Ballet goes on... :(

Very sad day indeed.
Another legend gone.
I had the pleasure of meeting him once (about 20 years ago). Absolute gentleman.
